VERSAILLES

Today we caught the train to the place of Versaille. A 16 Centurary palace 40 mins out of Paris. The extreme wealth of the royals was evedent here. It was ransacked during the revolution however is very beautiful. The gardens were amazing with several large fountains and a massive pond that you paddle across. It took 30 mins to walk from the palace to the pond. The inside rooms were very rich in art and taperisties and we saw the famous hall of mirrors, a ball room with one side covered in mirrors to reflect the setting sun. The room of battles had a mural of each battle franch has been in - it was a massive room!! We went to the latin quater to have dinner in a vergetarian resturant very nice to eat healthy food!!
